One Year.

Dear House,
Happy Re-Birthday! We bought you one year ago today and have been trying our best to get you back to your former glory. Whenever I see photos of you shrouded in your vines I'm amazed at how different you look today. I'm sorry that you haven't been painted yet or that you're not completely finished on the inside. I promise we'll paint you as soon as we can. Believe me, you look (and smell) a thousand times better today than on this day last year when we first walked through you after the closing.
Thank you for providing a happy place for us to live and for being in such close proximity to a lot of nice people. Thank you for not being haunted. Thank you for not being infested with any creepy living things either.
We love you House and hope to spend many more happy years living inside of you.
Love Always,
Heather & Fernando

  2. Your love letter is so funny, and your house is gorgeous!!! I wish I could cover my entire home in greenery, like a hobbit bungalow. Not that your house looks like that...

  4. What a difference! You must have been crossing your fingers while removing the plant growth.

  5. Wow! Did you guys even sleep this year? You have done so much! I hope your birthday celebration included a couple of glasses of champaign for yourself, you deserve it!

  6. Hi! I was doing the whole jumping from blog to blog thing and came across yours... And I took one look at the first post on the site and had to comment this: Your house originally had hair! It reminded me of dogs who get adopted and have to go through a shave down to see their prettiness beneath. It made me smile. =)

  7. Ho.Le.Mo.Ses. Wow, the difference is incredible. I'm sure the neighbors were so relieved when you "adopted" this little beauty. I have to be honest here though- I'm not sure I'd have been brave enough for the tour. This house isn't near some "miracle grow" manufacturing plant is it??
